About this site

Why this site?

For the fun of it, mostly. The factory closed over 50 years ago, yet there's still a lot of the products around. We had collected the information and thought it would be of some general interest to put up for others to see.

Who are we?

Joel Graber does the web design and scripting for this site. He is a native of Munising, Michigan, and currently lives in Bar Harbor, Maine. He is a scientist at The Jackson Laboratory (also in Bar Harbor), and tries to find the time to work on this site when he can. Every three to six months seems to be the current schedule, and woodenware e-mails will often sit for a several days or more before being answered.

As stated on the main page, my dad, Ken Graber died on January 7th, 2007. He collected the woodware, the images, and the information for this site. He was a retired Analytical Chemist, and was originally from Pretty Prairie, Kansas, but lived in Munising, Michigan from 1959 until 2007.

All questions and comments should now be forwarded to Joel at email image. I'll try to answer woodenware-related questions to the best of my ability, or find someone else who can.
